Jay Gee Amalgamation would fix this . You have to be out of your mind. HRM is amalgamated and they had about 30 businesses Close in the downtown core this winter. Yeah maybe if Nova Scotia Amalgamated with ALBERTA. We have a demographic nose dive coupled with civil servants driving a steak in the heart of the private sector with the highest taxes in Canada.

Well does it surprise you ? Four multi-location operations have lifted up operations and left New Glasgow this winter. Telus is gone out of New Glasgow, ADT Alarms Got off of George Street, Greco Donairs and Pizza has closed up and is looking for a new Franchisee. These are operations with over one hundred locations nationwide practically . Why cant these operations make it ? Very Simple the town is against anyone gainfully employing themselves in Manufacturing IE Maritime Steel . You take the incomes out of the pockets of working people and they hunker down and don't spend money on things like entertainment. Trenton Works being a failure under DSME , Nova Forge closing and Maritime Steel being starved of seed money hurts many more people then the employees . It hurts retailers who how are heading for greener pastures or closing completely. Enlisting business people that don't shop locally themselves as a economic panel for New Glasgow will not gleam a thing.

      1. greco probably didn't last because there is so many great pizza places in the county to eat that are all local business. bad location IMO 2. DSME was a scam likely 3. nova forge caught on fire 4. Maritime steel should have been sold to 3d, not someone without enough money. 5.How many people did Telus employ locally? maybe when minimum wage kept increasing, people cbecause of this, inflation kickstarted

it is about time. That doolys is a scar on the franchise. andt it was long before what happened to Amber Kerwin. Club "D"... minors drinking, binge drinking, drugs and worse. Good to see it go. I feel for the employees losing their jobs but the owner and managers did this to them.
