Man arrested in altercation involving axe

A 45-year-old Pictou County man has been arrested for assault with a weapon and uttering threats after RCMP responded to an altercation between two adults involving an axe in the Gairloch area.

No one was injured in the incident.

Considering an axe was involved, Const. Bryce Haight said the situation could have been much more serious.
