ANTIGONISH — A group of 115 workers at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia will be in a legal strike position as of Thursday.
The workers are represented by the Canadian Auto Workers union.
They include cleaners, rink and pool operators, skilled tradespeople, engineers and groundkeepers.
They have been without a contract since October.
The workers and the university’s administration are expected to return to the bargaining table Tuesday with the help of a conciliator.
Representatives for both sides reached an agreement last month, but the union membership rejected the tentative deal.
