Driver charged for stunting in French River

PICTOU COUNTY - RCMP have charged a male driver for Stunting in French River after clocking him travelling 155 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. 

Eastern Traffic Services were conducting speed enforcement on Highway 104 earlier today and around 3:43 p.m. observed a vehicle traveling at 155 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. 

A 23-year-old male from Sydney was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for Stunting. The driver has been immediately suspended from driving for a minimum period of one week. His car was also seized for one week. Upon conviction, the driver also faces a fine of $2412.41 and an automatic six points will be assigned to his driver's record.

    Who are Eastern Traffic Services and who has authorized them to conduct speed enforcements?

      I would hazzard a guess that the Eastern Traffice Services would be the RCMP and i am sure they authorized themselves.. Good Work RCMP.. keep the reckless drivers off the road

      What do you mean who is the Eastern Traffic Service , who do you think. They are the ones that are trying hard to keep the roads safe . I find it hard to beleave someone would ask a question so dumb . I hope you do not drive a car Ed Harper .

      the driver also faces a fine of $2412.41 ... don't you think that this will hurt more than $500.00 guess you didnt read the entire article..

      so you want them to lower the fine from 2400 bucks to 500 to hit them where it hurts?????
