Police say the 65-year-old pilot of an ultralight plane is dead after crashing in central southern Nova Scotia.
The RCMP say the lightweight aircraft went down around 10:15 a.m. near the Old Barss Corner Road by New Germany. The plane burst into flames on impact, a police release states. .
Pilot and lone occupant of the plane, a man from Barss Corner, died at the scene.
Police say they know few details about what led to the crash and remain on scene investigating.
