After weeks of foundation work, walls are starting to go up on a new P-8 school in New Glasgow. The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2014.
The new, 47,700-square-foot school is designed to support student learning for the 21st century. The concept is meant to help students develop vital skills, including innovation, information, career, media, technology and ‘break out’ spaces for students to work on projects collaboratively.
The province contributed $18 million for the school.
