PICTOU – A 22-year-old Trenton man charged with robbery and breaching an undertaking will return to court in October.

Ronald William Jamieson is charged in connection with an alleged incident on Aug. 18 in New Glasgow that involved the theft of money from a person and not abiding by a court order to abstain from alcohol.

He is also charged with uttering a threat from an alleged incident in July. He was granted an adjournment in Pictou Provincial Court Monday so he could contact a lawyer about the charges and reappear in court Oct. 7.

A second man, Reginald Hughie Jamieson, 22, of New Glasgow, also charged with robbery and a breach of a court order in relation to the same alleged incident, failed to appear in provincial court Monday to answer to the charges. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
