HALIFAX – Progressive Conservative leader Jamie Baillie announced the official Opposition shadow cabinet today.

Progressive Conservative Party Leader Jamie Baillie was in Pictou Oct. 3 with Pictou West candidate Karla MacFarlane for supper at The Lobster Bar Restaurant.
Baillie says the new team of PC critics will work with the new cabinet where possible and hold them accountable to the people of Nova Scotia when necessary.
“We are eager to get to work,” said Baillie. “We have a great team from across the province. They have a wealth of knowledge and real-world experience to draw on.”
All three Pictou County MLAs will be critics for significant departments.
Pictou West MLA Karla MacFarlane will be the critic for economic and rural development and tourism, environment, the Advisory Council – Status of Women and Nova Scotia Business Inc.
Pictou Centre MLA Pat Dunn will be the PC Caucus Chair and the critic for education and early childhood development, labour and advanced education and African Nova Scotia affairs.
Pictou East MLA Tim Houston will be the critic for finance and treasury board.
Baillie is the leader of the official Opposition and the PC Party of Nova Scotia. He is the critic for the Premier's Office, intergovernmental affairs and policy and priorities. Baillie will also be responsible for immigration.
