PICTOU – A 34-year-old Pictou man accused of breaking into a large number of boats at a local marina last month was back in court Monday for breaching court order.
Paul Ivan Jeans Jr. was charged with a breach after violating a no-contact order. He pleaded guilty to the breach charge during a brief provincial court appearance in Pictou Monday.
He has been remanded into custody until his next court date during which time he is to undergo an assessment to determine if at the time of the offence he was suffering from a mental disorder.
On his return to provincial court on Nov.25, he will sentenced on 11 break and enter charges related to a rash of break ins at the Pictou Marina last month and the breach charge, depending on the assessment report.
