Westville Fire-Rescue recently updated their equipment with the addition of AIR 21. The Ford F-350 4x4 unit’s main purpose is to transport an air cascade system to the fire scene in order to fill SCBA bottles used by firefighters. The unit can also transport additional firefighters, has storage for four SCBA packs, lighting systems and radios. The funds to purchase the unit came from fundraising by the department and donations by Westville residents.
AIR 21 is also a mutual aid unit that can be requested by any fire department in the county for use at any major event.
