PICTOU – A 23-year-old county man accused of robbing a man at a bank machine a few months ago could be sentenced next week.

Ronald William Jamieson made a brief provincial court appearance Monday during which time his lawyer asked for another adjournment so discussions could continue with the Crown.

Doug Lloy said when his client returns to court Dec. 9, there is a good possibility a sentencing will take place on many of the charges that involve alleged thefts at various times in the county.

Jamieson is facing a total of six thefts of money, two robbery and two uttering threats charges that allegedly took place between July and October 2013.

Jamieson was out on bail after being charged in September with a single charge of uttering threats, robbery and breach when he was arrested in connection with an alleged robbery at an ATM in New Glasgow.

He has not entered pleas to any of the charges yet. His next court appearance will be Dec. 9 in Pictou provincial court.
