Pedestrian sent to hospital after car accident

PICTOU - A pedestrian was sent to hospital following a collision with a vehicle on Monday evening.

Police News

Pictou County RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a car on Denoon Street in Pictou at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The 19-year-old female pedestrian from Pictou was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was later released.

The 35-year-old male driver of the Toyota Corolla was not injured. The investigation is continuing.

During this busy time of year, especially with changing weather conditions, motorists are reminded to be attentive when driving. Pedestrians also have a duty to use caution when crossing roadways.

    She was not on a crosswalk, it was not his fault! He should not be charged.
