There are no serious injuries after a head-on collision between a transport truck and car this afternoon in Broadway.

Traffic on the Trans Canada Highway 104 near Broadway was at a standstill as emergency crews work to clean up the scene.

They (emergency crews) responded to the two-vehicle head-on collision around 2:14 p.m.

At 7:10 p.m. the highway was reopened as traffic had been rerouted to Highway 4 between Exit 27 and Exit 29A while the transport truck was removed from the scene.

The car was also been removed from the scene earlier in the day.

The lone occupant of the truck, an adult male, didn't sustain any injuries.

There were two occupants in the other vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital in Antigonish with non life-threatening-injuries according to the RCMP.
