It's been a long time since Ed MacLean has seen a winter like this one.

Ed MacLean has been busy ploughing snow and spreading salt this month.
He's been in the snow removal business for about 20 years and said this is one of the earliest starts to winter he's seen in about a decade.
"Years ago we had mountains of snow," he said.
A seasoned veteran in the business, he doesn't venture any guesses on how bad the winter will be.
"Nobody knows," he says.
It's the weather after all.
He said he has one other person who works with him as they do eight or nine commercial locations.
"It's a nighttime job. It's not a daytime job," he said. "You can't do much in the daytime with all the cars around."
