NEW GLASGOW - Residents and town employees were busy Saturday morning, digging themselves out after a blizzard swept the province Friday.

A low-pressure system dumped between 10 to 20 cm in most areas across Nova Scotia.

A blowing snow warning continued into the evening, bringing poor visibility throughout Pictou County.

All alerts have ended for the province. Weather in Caribou today will be mainly sunny with wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming west 20 gusting to 40 this afternoon. A high of minus 10 is expected with a cold wind chill of minus 29.

Tonight should be partly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries overnight. Temperature rising to minus five by morning.
