Eagles congregate at edge of town

About a dozen bald eagles congregated Monday at the estuary next to the Trenton Generating Station. The county is a residence and breeding ground and the eagles thrives throughout northern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island. Because of the heat from the activity of the station, it's noted as a favourite spot for a number of species of birds during the winter. JOHN BRANNEN – THE NEWS
