SCOTSBURN – February is starting off with a renewed appreciation for winter. Scotsburn’s annual winter carnival is this weekend with a lengthy list of fun activities planned.
Snow enthusiasts can look forward to a winter walk, a moonlit family snowshoe, outdoor ball hockey, coasting, skating, as well as several indoor entertainment options.

Friday, Jan. 31
2:30 p.m. Winter Walk Day: Heart and Stroke Walkabout. Meet at JP Gammon Centre.
7 p.m. Moonlit Family Snowshoe – Fitzpatrick trails. Meet at school parking lot. Snowshoes available on request. Bring headlamp or flashlight. Weather permitting.
7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Youth Dance - Grades 5-8, JP Gammon Centre, $2.
Saturday, Feb. 1
8 – 10 a.m. Pancake Breakfast at Fire Hall. Pancakes, sausage, tea/coffee/juice. $7 for adults, $3 for children. Proceeds will go to Curl for Cancer.
4 – 6 p.m. 4-H Bean Supper at Fire Hall. Eat-in or take out. Beans and brown bread.
8 p.m. – midnight Pub Night: Dave Gunn, Ward Brubacher & friends at Fire Hall. Cash bar. Pizza slices. $5 admission.

Skating – weather permitting and depending on pond conditions

Hike N.S. Guided Snowshoe. Millsville to Scotsburn with Hike N.S. Call 924-2910 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register for 8 km snowshoe that will take approx. 3 hours. Snowshoes available upon request.
