A 30-year-old Pictou County man was arrested for impaired driving following a car crash on Wednesday night.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police Service received a call from Emergency Health Services regarding a possible impaired driver on the Trenton Connector, Trenton. The vehicle was involved in a single motor vehicle collision and the vehicle suffered extensive damages as it collided with the bridge guardrail.
Police officers investigated and charged the driver with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and breach of probation.
A female 23-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle at the time and was not seriously hurt.
The suspect will be appearing in Provincial Court on May 5.
