Impaired driver arrested in New Glasgow

New Glasgow Regoinal Police arrested a man they say was driving while impaired on Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:25 a.m. police received a call that an intoxicated man was driving away in a grey in colour vehicle. Police immediately located the vehicle a Grey Honda Civic in the area of Provost and Stewart Street area.

Upon investigation the 25-year-old man from Stellarton, was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and issued a Summary Offence violation for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s License.

New Glasgow Regional Policegave credit to the quick actions from a member of the public who called police that lead to the safe apprehension of an impaired driver.

The suspect will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on March 31.
