STELLARTON – Monday night Stellarton town council announced that Bob Funke would serve as the interim engineer for the town.

Tony Addis announced his retirement in January and will officially retire on July 17.

Council agreed that Funke would be valuable to the town during this period of time, with over 30 years of experience, as they look for a new town engineer.

The hope is that they will have the new engineer hired by April so they can shadow Addis before his official retirement date.
