PICTOU— The deCoste Centre opens for the spring season on Monday with a program featuring an eclectic mix of entertainment.

 

The first show of the season will be Beatlemaniacs, an award winning tribute band on Tuesday, March 4.

The first show of the season will be Beatlemaniacs, an award winning tribute band on March 4.  Donna Washington, a dynamic storyteller and author, presents a matinee family show on March 23.  The Rotary Club of Pictou presents their annual Broadway musical on March 27, 28 and 29, featuring a cast of over 40 performers in ‘Wonderful Town’.

‘Peter Panic’, a musical comedy presented by the students of Pictou Academy, will be on stage at the Centre on April 3 and 4 followed by Buddy Wasisname & the Other Fellers on April 7.  Blues musician Guy Davis returns to the deCoste on April 9 and Bruce Guthro brings his ‘Songwriters Circle’ to the Centre on May 2.

Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys make their debut performance at the deCoste on May 9 and Ryan Cook takes his Hank Williams tribute to the stage on    May 22.  The Northumberland Youth Ballet will present Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for two nights May 23 & 24.  ‘Pipes of War’, a D-Day concert commemorating the 70th anniversary of this historic event will be held on June 6.
