The Town of Westville is considering an offer made by Public Works and Government Services Canada to purchase the building that currently houses its post office.

Council was told that it could purchase the building for $70,000 but it has to honour Canada Post’s lease until it expires in March 2017.   If council isn’t interested in the building than the government could deed the land that holds the war memorial over to the town.   The memorial sits in front of the post office. Council said it would investigate the situation further before it makes any decisions.
