TRENTON – Council approved a motion to send a letter Canada Post and the Canadian Postmasters and Assistants Association (CPAA) at Tuesday’s meeting in reference to potential changes to the Trenton post office.
Trenton council received a letter from Canada Post on Feb. 17 regarding possible cuts to Saturday hours at offices.
“It may be a good idea to send a letter in support of workers in our town,” Coun. Steven Cotter said.
One of the concerns raised was that the changes would hurt those who work Monday through Friday during Canada Post hours.
Council also received correspondence from CPAA, expressing their worry for postal service and the affected employee in Trenton.
