NEW GLASGOW – Planning for the fourth annual Heart & Home Fundraiser for the Pictou County Roots for Youth Society is well underway.

Wine and cheese, local talents such as Bob Snider, and a silent auction will be the heart of this year’s Heart & Home, where a community will come together to provide the home for homeless youth.

Board members, staff and volunteers will be working diligently up until the day of the event on April 4 to ensure that this year’s Heart & Home will be a memorable and unforgettable night.

This year, Nova Scotia talents Steve McDougall, Snider, Jakki Rouge, Steve Sharrat and Lacey Morell will make up the songwriter’s circle.

A band from “The Sound of Youth” competition will also be performing.

Tickets are on sale now for $20, and can be purchased at Big Al’s Convenience, ECFM, Highland News and all Scotiabank locations.

Pictou County Roots for Youth will be set up at the community booth at Highland Square Mall on March 13 and 14 as well.

Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased directly from Roots House located at 603 East River Road, New Glasgow.

Heart & Home will be taking place at North Nova Education Centre with the silent auction beginning at 6 p.m.

All guests must be 19 years of age or older to attend.
