PICTOU – Two brothers accused of robbing a woman outside of Shoppers Drug Mart have had their charges adjourned until May since their lawyers are waiting on DNA evidence.

Lawyers for 25-year-old Jayden Piercy and 31-year-old Justin Piercy, both of the South Shore, made a brief appearance through tele-conference in Pictou provincial court Monday.

Both men are charged with robbery as well as wearing a disguise during the commission of a crime. They have yet to enter pleas on the charges.

The charges stem from an alleged incident in August when a woman was sprayed in her face with an irritant and had her purse stolen when she was in the parking lot of the local drug store.

Rosina Virginia Ernst, 20, is also charged with robbery in connection with the alleged incident. She will return to Pictou in May for a preliminary hearing.
