PICTOU – A 29-year-old New Glasgow police officer has pleaded not guilty to careless driving.
Const. Donald Wadden is charged with failure to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner in connection with an incident on Highway 104 near Pleasant Valley on April 26, 2013.
The charge was laid following an investigation by the Serious Incident Response Team and relates to an incident when a Pictou County man suffered injuries in a collision with a police vehicle.
Wadden will return to court Sept. 9 and 11 for trial. The Crown said it anticipates calling several witness to testify.
