Woman injured in crash, man charged with impaired driving

New Glasgow police have charged a 22-year-old Stellarton man for failing a breathalyzer and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm following an accident last night.

At approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, New Glasgow Regional Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Granville Street where a vehicle had struck a pole.

The 22-year-old will be appearing in court at a later date.

The New Glasgow Fire Department assisted EHS at the scene and used the Jaws of Life to remove an injured 22-year-old female from Pictou County who was transported to the Aberdeen Hospital with multiple injuries.

NS Power attended the scene to repair the power pole.

    Need to get your facts straight. The accident in this report happened between 11-1130pm last night. My partner called 911 when we heard the crash.
