NEW GLASGOW – New Glasgow Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance following vandalism of seven downtown locations early Easter morning.
Police say several windows were smashed with bricks and rocks between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Provost, Archimedes and MacLean streets, including East Coast FM, an entrance to the mini mall, the Beauty Barn and several vacant buildings.
No entry was gained into the businesses, police say.
Const. Ken MacDonald estimates the vandalism will cost businesses thousands of dollars.
New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate and ask the public to contact police or Crime Stoppers for tips.
