PICTOU - Pictou County is getting ready for the Royal Visit on May 19 to the Hector Heritage Quay in Pictou.

The quay is encouraging everyone from Northeastern Nova Scotia to be part of the celebration as they welcome Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall to one of their stops in Canada.

As the royal couple will be hosted by the Hector Heritage Quay, there are limited passes available onto the actual site due to limited space.

Anyone interested in having a closer view is asked to call the royal hotline at 902-752-1967 on Thursday, May 8 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to register your name for a pass.

The public will also have viewing opportunities along Caladh Avenue as the royal couple arrives in Pictou on May 19 at approximately 4 p.m.

Further information will be made available regarding parking and street closure.
