WEST RIVER STATION – Nova Scotia's Emergency Measures Organization says a small group of residents in Pictou County have been permitted to return home after a train carrying propane derailed last week.
Spokesman Don MacKenzie says residents returned to their homes in West River Station on Sunday.
Six homes were evacuated June 9 as a precaution after seven cars went off the tracks, including six that overturned.
MacKenzie says cleanup is ongoing at the site.
The train is owned by the Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia Railway.
