The official declaration of the 1913 New Glasgow watering trough as a registered municipal heritage site will take place this Friday, Aug. 1, at 2:00 p.m.

All are welcome to attend the ceremony at the intersection of East River Road and MacDonald Street. The festivities will include a piper, the town crier, other dignitaries and, of course, a horse.

    Very gad to see this happen. I also remember one beside the Carmichael Park and remember a horse drinking from it. A lovely childhood memory.
