NEW GLASGOW – Const. Ken MacDonald said there were no major problems to report during the “Jubilee weekend.”

He said they had an increased presence in downtown New Glasgow to accommodate the increased population for the Riverfront Jubilee.

The majority of their calls or instances were for small disturbances (fights or similar situations) and violations under the Liquor Control Act. Otherwise he said there no major problems. There were a few specific cases he said officers were looking into further, but couldn’t say more at this time.

I heard of 2 story's which involved people getting Jumped on Provost Street, think they need too control the crowds hanging on the streets ( Kids ). I was there and seen groups of 40, me being with my Wife walking past them I didn't feel very safe, Section the jubilee off and let the kids pay too get in or don't let them hang around, move them on!!
