PICTOU – A New Glasgow man has been sentenced to an eight-month conditional sentence order for cashing stolen cheques.

Kenneth Lloyd Marshall, 63, was charged with four counts of fraud by cashing two stolen cheques at a local bank and two stolen cheques at a grocery store in February.

The cheques he cashed at the bank totalled $3,166 and those cashed at the store came to $1,450. In addition to eight month CSO, which included six months’ house arrest, Marshall was also ordered to pay back the money to both the bank and store.
