PICTOU – A former Pictou County resident accused of letting his cows run at large in the Caribou area has had his trial adjourned until the fall.

Duncan MacGregor Murray, 74, is charged under Pictou County’s animal at large bylaw with allowing his cows to run loose between June 21 and 24 in the Caribou area. He was originally scheduled for trial today, but it was adjourned due to the poor health of Murray.

The half-day trial will now take place on Oct. 29 in Pictou provincial court.
