To the editor,
Summer is over and the fall season is here. We are coming into one of the most beautiful times of the year, with the forest coming into full bloom, with all the many colours that Mother Nature can give us. And our summer gardens are starting to fade away. But for a few fall flowers we have our fall mums and burning bush and black-eyed Susans and many more.
So that brings us to thoughts of winter that will bring frost and snow. But we also have Christmas time. That is another wonderful time of the year with all the great lawn displays. But let’s not forget spring for that is when Mother Nature brings everything back to life again. The green grass and spring flowers. And what a wonderful and beautiful time spring is.
But there is one thing that bothers me. And that is the people who keep on throwing out their garbage on the side of our roadways. Everything from coffee cups to bags of garbage. That spoils the look of this beautiful landscape of ours. For it is so easy to carry a garbage bag in one’s car and then take it and put it in a garbage can at home. I will never understand why people cannot keep our highways and roadways clean from their garbage. It is an easy thing to do.
And now is a very good time to get pictures of the forest in full bloom. Just take a drive down the shore road or the 104 to Antigonish and you will see the colour in full bloom. And there are so many more places as well.
