To the editor,

This past summer I had an unfortunate accident at Black Point Beach, Pictou County, resulting in a severe ankle break. I have had the good fortune of quality health care and attention during my treatment and rehabilitation over the past several months.

It gave me an appreciation for the extent and level of service provided by our public health care workers and system.

I would like to thank the following for their wonderful care and attention:

Dr. David Johnston, Surgeon, QEII Health Sciences Centre

Paramedics and emergency staff at Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow

Staff of Orthopedic Unit 7.4, QEII

  X-ray and reception staff, QEII

Shannon Estabrooks, and staff at ActiveLife Physiotherapy, New Glasgow

Friends at Black Point Beach for coming to my rescue

  Everyone's thoughtfulness and support

Phyllis Williston
