To the editor,
Over the past several weeks there has been a lot of news coverage concerning the MLAs’ expenses.
Now with the open door meeting to deal with all MLAs’ spending and a full account of all taxpayers’ moneys, I would say it is time to put it to rest. After all it was on the NDP watch and they were the ones that are making all the changes and cleaning the mess up with no thanks to the past governments.
And with the leader of the Liberal party going around the province saying it's a bad time for the Speaker of the House, Charlie Parker, to take a trip – well folks the trip was planned several weeks ago and it all has to do with the Speaker's duties in the house.
As well Stephen McNeil is telling the news media that Nova Scotians are disappointed and looking to another party. Yes, we are disappointed all right after finding out about the mess the former Tory government left us which our NDP government is left to clean up.
I was at a birthday party on Friday for Ross Landry (and he is allowed to celebrate his birthday) and am quite pleased to tell you that everyone there is very satisfied with the new NDP government and what they are doing.
So dream on Mr. MacNeil.
Last but not least, our Finance minister, Graham Steele, is doing a very good job in going around the province and getting input for the upcoming budget.
By the way I just looked at the announcement that was made regarding TrentonWorks last week. That is just the beginning in good works to come from the NDP government led by our premier, Mr. Darrell Dexter.
So that is great work done on behalf of all taxpayers. Thank you and have a great day.
