To the editor,
Just over a week ago my friend and I went into New Glasgow for lunch. We asked the gal at Sobeys to recommend a restaurant and she told us that a new one had opened across the bridge and turn to the right.
We did that and parked right next to the restaurant. When we came out after lunch we noticed a ticket attached to the windshield of the car. The amount was for $5 which I paid by putting the bill in the provided envelope.
This bothered me quite a bit. No notice or warning, just an immediate bill.
We were visitors in your town. We live in Central Nova Scotia and probably will not select your town or that restaurant again. This might not matter to you but a positive feeling about an area is always much better than a negative one.
Hopefully someone will address this issue before the negative travels. It always does, much faster than the positive.
Best regards.
