To the editor,
This letter is in no way pointing fingers at anyone, just curious questions. So, please don't feel bad, just ponder on some of the questions.
Are things such as Boat Harbour going to be cleaned for the residents of Pictou Landing Reserve and also the surrounding residents near Pictou Landing Reserve? If there are creators of this mess, do they live on Pictou Landing Reserve or the surrounding areas?
Here's an even more serious curious question: If the residents in either of these areas had an oil spill, does the oil spill have to be cleaned up right away? Or are the residents given a lot of time to resolve this problem? Again, I am not pointing fingers at anyone or trying to cause a stink! And if there's a person or persons involved seriously trying to solve this problem, I sincerely wish them all the best.
Myself, I wouldn't have a clue how to solve this mess other than waiting and hoping it would evaporate ( just disappear ) on its own.
One thing for sure the residents in these areas sure have the waiting period down. They have been waiting a long time for an answer and a cleanup. Nothing, that a 100 years wouldn't solve?
Meanwhile we'll keep sorting our garbage for the sake of keeping our environment clean … am I missing the point here? Is this a joke? No one seems to be laughing at that end (more like coughing or sneezing).
