To the editor,

Where is that jail going?

You really can’t believe anything the NDP government says.  We were supposed to find out a couple of months ago where the jail would go. Then Justice Minister Ross Landry told us that due to the fact that another site was being considered, no decision would be made until June and the announcement would be made then.

Well, Mr. Landry, here we are in July. You still have not made a decision and it is down to three sites again. What is your excuse this time? People  know you are just trying to buy time and gauge their opinion.

It seems that the only time that we can believe the NDP is when they talk about tax increase or cuts and cancellations of programs.

When the NDP decided to cancel the Conservatives’ plan for building the new jails, they step into something that smells really bad. They are now trying to find a way to come out of it smelling like roses.  Good luck.

Dear Mr. Arthur Daily, Springhill has Hospitals and it has Courts in Amherst 25km away. I think you should take a course in Geography. Springhill has what most communities dont have is the geo therm o energy for heat and air conditioning. The Tory's spent 1 million dollars of tax payer money to get the project started. The town sold the land for one dollar to the Tory's for the jail. Dexter lied and noted he was going to honor, i guess that was a bunch of bull. Anyone who would vote for a Socialist government is so close to being a communist and that isn't funny. You wait and see what the socialists do for Pictou, The NDP have to be the worst government ever created. The NDP must of been started by a communist dictator years ago.

Pictou Co. is an excellent spot for thre jail. Acceess to a #1 highway we have the room and jobs will be created. Spring hill is just to far from hospital and the courts. The whole thing about the jail situation is it was a promise by the Tory goverment to put the jail in Spring Hill it was an election ploy. We should embrace the oppertunity to be selected as a spot

The new jail that the NDP was going to bulid in Pictou was suppose to be built in Springhill Cumberland County. When Darell Dexter was running for premier last spring, he informed Don Tabor who was the NDP candidate for Cumberland South that he wasnt going to touch the Jail. The PC government spent hundreds of thousands of tax payers dollars to get the project running. Don Tabor lost to Murray Scott and the Cumberland lost the jail to Pictou where Ross Laundry is i guess. After that I guess Mr. Don Tabor has quit the NDP due to lies and Bull.
