Pothole season means drivers must slow down

To the editor,

Winter is not quite over but those darn potholes are here again. So what  does that mean to us? It means that we have to brush up on our driving skills and slow down. Also we have to give our street department time to to get them repaired. But if you keep on driving like I see a lot of you doing you can then pay the repair bill at one our local garages for driving too fast and hitting potholes  that can do a lot of damage to the front end of one's car. For I see too many of you driving like there is no tomorrow, so slow down and save a costly repair bill.

And last but not least if you want a lesson on how not to drive just take a look around you and you will see drivers going though stop signs, talking on cellphones, parking in fire lanes as well as crosswalks and not stopping for people using crosswalks or slowing down when there is ice and snow on the roadways.

We have a a very good police service but they cannot be everywhere all the time. But give them time and they will get you, you can be sure of that. So with that I wish you all a great day and safe driving.
