Teams announced for Port Hawkesbury Grand Slam event

Saturday the Grand Slam of Curling announced the teams for The National, the third leg of their tour, which is being held in Port Hawkesbury.

The 18-team event is taking place Jan. 23-27 at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.

International teams that will be attending the event include: de Cruz (Switzerland), Team Edin (Sweden) and Ulsrud (Norway).

Canadian teams taking to the ice are: Balsdon, Cotter, Epping, Folwer, Gushue, Howard, Jacobs, Kean, Koe, Laycock, Martin, McEwen, Michel, Rumfeldt and Stoughton.

Tickets are currently available through the Civic Centre box office by calling 625-2591 or online at www.phcivic.com.
