Pitbulls hosting annual tournament this weekend

PICTOU - The Pictou Academy Pitbulls will host the fourth annual Hoops in the Harbour Girls Basketball Tournament Jan. 4 and 5 at the Pictou Elementary School gym.

The six-team tournament includes last year’s runner-up Dalbrae Dragons, along with Musquodoboit Mustangs, Guysborough Blue Eagles, Hants North Flames and CEC JV Cougars.

The tournament will also feature the popular half-time Shoot for Loot, which gives spectators the opportunity to demonstrate their three-point shooting skills.

The tournament starts Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. with the Pitbulls hosting Guysborough.

Admission is free.
