Peewee AAA Crushers struggle at KFC tournament

TRURO – The Pictou County peewee AAA Crushers participated in Truro KFC Christmas Tournament last weekend, finishing with two losses and a tie.

The first game for the Crushers was against the Antigonish Bulldogs. The Pictou County squad was defeated 4-0. Jaden Mason was named game MVP. 

Their second game ended with the host Truro Bearcats beating the Crushers 5-0. Kevin Mason was awarded the game MVP.

Game three ended in a 2-2 tie against the Sackville Flyers. Scoring for the Crushers were Jake Martin and Michael MacGillivray with assists to Matthew Chediac and Evan Callaghan. Andrew MacLeod was named game MVP. The Crushers will face the Cape Breton County team this Sunday at the Wellness Centre.
