WESTVILLE - Stay at home defenceman Ken Gordon fired five goals to help the Acropole Blues pound the surprised Nissan Habs 12-4.

"Sometimes you just have to lead by example,” said Gordon. “I had a few lanes tonight and I went for it. It feels good to beat the Habs as they had our number all year."

Dave Jordan had the hat trick to help the cause, while Mark Bannerman, Jody Hamper, Dave Stelle and Greg Watters added singles. Scoring for the Habs were Chris Hatchard (2), Brian Gratto and Cory MacKinnon.

Edwin Fraser, Earl Carson and Dave MacKinnon scored two goals each to lead Docs Demons to a 7-6 win over Bestway Panthers, with Mark MacDonald adding a single. Bestway's Ricky Wright fired a hat trick in the losing cause, while Tony Vanden Eyden, Lou Smith and Glen Wallace scored once.
