Peewee B Miners defeat Debert

WESTVILLE – Wednesday evening at the Westville Miners Sports Centre saw the Westville peeweee B team win a thriller over the visiting Debert Cobras 1-0.

The game was a goaltending duel with Westville relying heavily on the stellar goaltending of Kyle Dickson until midway through the third period when Westville’s captain Parker Hickey potted the winner from close range with the assist going to Nick Horne.

The win ensured a split for Westville against the Cobras in the home-and-home series of the playoffs. Up next for the Miners is the Pictou Maripacs this Saturday at the Hector Arena in Pictou.
