Slammers drop Crushers

WOODSTOCK – Sunday afternoon the Pictou County Weeks Crushers had their three-game win streak snapped against the Woodstock Slammers, losing 6-5.

Scoring for the Crushers were Cody Squires, Nick Parker, Mitchell Deruelle, Corey Bennett and Daniel MacLeod.

Brandon Thibeau faced 41 shots in the game to take the loss between the pipes.

The 18-13-5 Crushers next face the 7-29-2 CIBC Wood Gundy Lumberjacks on Tuesday in Bridgewater.

The Crushers have also mathematically clinched a playoff berth.
