The Pictou County Scotians fired 4 unanswered third period goals to nip the Valley Maple Leafs 6-4 in junior B hockey action last night in Trenton.

The Valley Maple Leafs had built up a 4-2 lead after forty minutes before the Scotians rallied for the win.

Lucas Eshelman was the trigger man for the Scotians picking up a hat trick. Single markers went to Brandon MacKenzie, Brandon Verge and Dustin Bowron. MacKenzie, Verge and Bowron all picked up an assist with Craig Matheson adding a pair of helpers.

Jake Galbraith picked up 3 points for the Maple Leafs on a pair of markers and an assist. Craig Anderson and Mark Swain rounded out the Valley scoring.

The Maple Leafs led 3-2 after one; 4-2 after two.
Ben Goss collected his 14th win on the year while call-up Rowen O’Brien was tagged with the loss.
