Golden Hawks peewee B win pair of games

THORBURN – Over the weekend the Thorburn Golden Hawks peewee B team recorded back-to-back wins during their home-and-home series against the Canso Bluefins in playoff action. On Saturday they won 7-1 before an 11-5 win on Sunday.

Scoring for Thorburn over the weekend were: Noah Teed (4), Tyler Foote (3), Bryce Thomsen and Ashley Livingston with a pair each.

Single goals were scored by: Connor Dewar, Skyler Coady, Brent Chabassol, Cameron MacKay, Liam Kennedy, Aaren MacDonald and Adam MacDonald.

Goalies Zachary Dickson and Brandon Benoit each won a game between the pipes.

Thorburn peewee B playoff action continues with a home-and-home series against Westville, beginning Monday evening.
