North Nova girls basketball hosting joint tournament

NEW GLASGOW - This weekend the North Nova girls varsity and junior varsity basketball teams are hosting the NNEC Blizzard Ball Invitational at the North Nova Education Centre Gym.

Teams from CEC, Central Kings, Auburn, Cape Breton Highlands Academy, MRHS and Northumberland will also be in attendance. In Division 1 are: NNEC, NRHS, Central Kings and Auburn.

In Division 2 are: NNEC jv, CEC jv, Cape Breton and MRHS.

The tournament kicks off at 6:00 p.m. Thursday night with the host Gryphons jv team taking on CEC.

On Friday the North Nova jv team plays at 2:00 p.m., Northumberland at 3:45 p.m. and the North Nova varsity team at 7:15 p.m.
